In Edinburgh for the day and called in last evening for a quick bite to eat and very much enjoyed our meal. We only had a main course, and we both chose Chimmi Churri Chicken which was really good. Freshly made and spicy. Other dishes on nearby tables also looked very appetising. Beer was excellent. We will definitely return.
My partner and I visited this lovely place few days ago. The view, the decor … great. Staff so nice and professional, you just feel that being part of the Old Chain Pier means something. What else, oh yes, food … well that was magical and the best think you could do instead of reading the reviews is to go to Old Chain Pier and try it for yourself.
Went here as it was on our to do list and glad we did. We where here on a Thursday night but still a little busy but did not wait long for our food. The starters were lovely as was our mains I recommend the fish and chips but my girlfriend will recommend the salmon. Our server was a lovely.
Having travelled Scotland for 6 days, we had a long weekend in Leith, and we came upon The Old Chain Pier, we had lunch looking out onto the bay, absolutely beautiful views. The food is amazing and worth every penny, the owners and staff made us feel at home, to the point of us leaving a little tipsy
I ate here with my family and the food was excellent … would particularly recommend the Cullen Skink!!! Portions were generous and a great choice for the ‘wee bairns’. Service was excellent – very knowledgeable about the dishes served! We will be back!!
We escaped from the rain and wind into this delightful little pub with an awesome view over the Firth, for lunch today. The service was very prompt and cheerful and the 4 meals served were all excellent. I had the battered prawns which were super, Duncan had delicious mussels, Caro had haddock and chips – the best she’s had since she’s lived in Scotland !
